Re: New Computer Advice
Have me build for you and ship to you lol would save you a tonStormmaster wrote:I don't really have the skill nor the desire to build it myself, I would much rather pay someone to put it together for me. I totally don't mind paying someone, I have plenty of money so money not really the issue. Time/hassle > Cash (to me anyways)

Re: New Computer Advice
Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the advice. My new computer is done and I will have it this week. I went ahead and had Spartin build it for me (thanks Spart!).
Of course main priority is EQ so Spartin installed EQ and tested it for me and the new rig does run EQ! So my furry footed self should be running around on the new comp soon.
I won't pretend to know what most of this stuff even means but below is what my new computer has in it...

Spartin went with AMD \sigh, thought he knew better!
Looks like a good machine, only thing I would have changed is AMD.

Re: New Computer Advice
Depends man there are things amd beats intel on
http://www.digitalversus.com/cpu/face-o ... table.html
And AMD is less then half the price. I personally like intel but for a game like EQ and many other games you would not be able to tell, unless you like to be the kid with the most expensive thing on the block.

Re: New Computer Advice
Actually Beezy you can blame me on that one not Spartin. He had to cut a LOT of corners and I am sure could have built a space ship if he needed to but I do not have unlimited funds and in a few areas if it was deemed it wouldn't make a vastly noticeable difference we went with the less expensive option. And I'm pretty sure that AMD processor was less expensive then the equivalent other one. What he built and what he could have built were quite a bit different, this was the more budget friendly version.beezy wrote:Spartin went with AMD \sigh, thought he knew better!

AMD or not I'm pretty happy. It should run EQ for me. Considering what I would have paid for a similar set up from a store or prebuilt order this was WAY cheaper than anything I could have got. I can't believe how much stores or even companies online mark up computers. Definitely seemed better to have one put together.

Oh definitely, I was trying to bash your new pc lol. I put an AMD in my moms PC and I didnt like it at all. Thankfully she doesnt do much stuff like I do with mine, I just didnt like the performance of the AMD cpu over my intel one.
